About Pediatric Bioscience

Pediatric Bioscience (PBI) is a California based, specialty clinical diagnostic company that was formed in 2006 by a group of researchers and experienced business leaders to identify and develop promising new discoveries in the field of autism. The Company’s mission is to develop novel products to improve the diagnosis and treatment of children with autism (AU) and autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

PBI’s products currently in development came from discoveries that were licensed from the UC Davis M.I.N.D. Institute, an international, multidisciplinary research organization.  The Institute is committed to conducting research at the forefront of science to understand the causes and develop better treatments for autism. Their ultimate goal is to find a cure for this mentally debilitating disease. Pediatric Bioscience’s first commercial test is a set of prognostic markers (The MAR Test) that identifies women who may be at an increased risk of having a child with autism.  Current plans are for the test to be available to physicians in the United States in the second half of 2012.
